Peter Harris was my father. A true gentleman: loving kind, very humble yet a towering intellect. A man of great compassion who came from a poor background and made it to the highest levels. A man with a deep and abiding faith, very devout and full of charity. He worked, and led at least 4 charities which supported the vulnerable and poor. He went as a porter on a pilgrimage to Lourdes every year, for 28 years, until the penultimate year of his life. He cared for his family unstintingly all his life. He enjoyed travel and experiencing different cultures, learning languages and histories, truly recognizing the dignity of all. I miss him.
